As we are living in a growing economy with a shrinking population, where architects are changing jobs more and more frequently, the shortage of candidates is increasing yearly.  The Australian Institute of Architects have created ArchiStaff – a leading-edge solution to provide architects and employers with a system that semi-automates the recruitment process, which includes introduction, search, selection and placement of candidates.  It has been designed as a low-cost hybrid system that sits between, and offers an alternative to, using a full-service recruitment agency and the ‘do-it-yourself’ approach.

 

The benefits to you:

 

• Search - You can search a database of active available architectural candidates by job-title, location and key words.  The system will then provide you with the candidate profiles and portfolios.  If inspired by what you see you have the option of purchasing your shortlist ($500+GST) to view all candidate resumes in full.


• Cost reduction - External recruitment agencies can charge up to and above $10,000 per placement fee. This hybrid system will deliver you candidates at a 1/3rd of the cost.


• Recruitment process - The old job-board provided employers with a place to advertise a job only.  Now you have the opportunity to place an advertisement, search for candidates, create your own shortlist and seek assistance from our consultants for setting interview times and managing the job-offer process through to placement.


• Confidentiality - Your job advertisement protects and conceals your practice’s identity, so that you are no longer subject to calls of harassment from external recruitment agencies.


• Sourcing candidates - When you place a job advertisement there are four (4) ways to create a shortlist of suitable candidates who match your job criteria:

 

1) Suitable candidates in the database will be made aware of your job advertisement can apply directly to be added to the shortlist.


2) Our consultants can add suitable candidates of interest as they become available.


3) You can create a profile alert to capture all new candidates who register to the database after your advertisement has been placed.


4) You can search the database and add suitable candidates yourself.

 

• Job advertisements - Your job advertisement will remain ‘live’ on the system as long as you need it to be there.  You have the option to expire, re-post and edit when required.


• Background checks – We offer the option of background checking to ensure the candidate’s identity and right to work in Australia.


• Global talent – ArchiStaff also captures both international candidates and Aussies returning home.
